|Welcome to Ms. Bills' page!|
I am so excited to be the Theatre teacher for Gentry. I will also teach an Introduction to Speech & Debate and a Careers class. This is my fifth year teaching. I taught at West Jr. the last year it was a junior high school and this is my 4rd year at Gentry.
I come primarily from a performance background having two degrees in Theatre Performance: B.F.A from Stephens College, M.F.A from Michigan State University. I've worked in professional theatre in companies across Michigan, Missouri, Iowa, Tennessee and Georgia. I have also worked in other performance educational settings from Columbia Entertainment Company's Theatre School under the direction of Debbie Baldwin to Director of Drama Ministries at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Columbus, Georgia to adjunct professor in the Theatre Department at Columbus State University.
I've also worked as a Program Manager for Continuing Education classes in dance, visual arts, music, and children's programming at The Rankin Arts Center in Columbus, Georgia.
Of the various positions I've held, teaching is by far the most purposeful work there is and the most rewarding!
