1.      Summer SUNsation enrollment forms are due in the Guidance office by April 13 for all students.  Online registration is also available. Current 8th grade students should plan to register early as your classes fill up quickly.  (Plan to read periodically till April 13)


2.      In May at the end of this school year two eighth grade students at West Middle School will each receive a $2,000 scholarship from the Shelter Insurance.  The recipients of the $2,000 awards will be chose by a committee of staff members from West Middle and Shelter Insurance.  The committee will consider each applicant’s scholastic achievements, educational goals, citizenship, moral character, participation and leadership in school and community activities.  The scholarships will be given without regard to race, creed, religion, national origin, sex or employment status of applicants or their relatives.  The names of the scholarship winners will be announced at the close of the school year.  Applications and additional information about the Shelter Foundation Scholarship will be available from today to April 18 in the West Middle main office.  Applications should be completed and returned to the main office by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19.


3.      6th and 7th Grade students get ready for your spring social this week.  6th graders you will be partying on April 6 and 7th graders you can party on April 7.  6 on 6 and 7 on 7.  8th grade students you will need to wait for your party till May 12.  8th grade Dinner/Dance will be happening that evening.  Invitations will be going out in April.
