  • CARE Summer Employment

Posted by Christine Spurling on 12/11/2017

The City of Columbia's Career Awareness Related Experience (CARE) program is once again gearing up to take applications for Summer 2018 employment.  The goal of CARE  is to ensure that Columbia's youth are ready to enter the workforce and become productive, self-sufficient citizens.  They hire at-risk 14-20 year olds who live in the City of Columbia, MO and/or attend a Columbia, MO school and place them at local businesses, where they gain much needed real-world hands on work experience while getting paid.  Trainees' wages are paid for by CARE.

    To Apply On-Line Click Here

(Search on this site for CARE TRADITIONAL Summer Trainee 2018) Applicants are STRONGLY encouraged to apply online as early (as close to December 22) as possible as this is a very popular program and will fill up very quickly.  If you have further questions, please call 573-874-6300.

  • Not receiving parent emails?

Posted by Christine Spurling on 10/9/2017

Dr. Bishara sends out the parent newsletter via email/Parentlink each Friday and teachers routinely send group emails. If you are not receiving our emails, please check with guidance to be sure we have your correct email address on file. If you are still not receiving our emails, here are some tips that might help those come through to your account:

Many of our emails are sent to large groups of students and or guardians. Your spam catcher could be kicking it out since it is going to so many addresses.  Here are some things the sender can do to help that:

    • Check your junk mail frequently to see if you have cps email in your junk folder and retrieve it from there.
    • Add “” as a safe domain.
    • Add teacher email addresses to your address book for those teachers who are sending mass emails.
    • Check to be sure you haven’t inadvertently added ‘CPS’ to your junk mail for blocking.
