Director of Counseling
Anna has been with CPS since 2017 when she joined Battle High School as a school counselor. Before that she spent eight years as a high school counselor in the Jefferson City school district at Simonsen Ninth Grade Center and Jefferson City High School. Anna also previously taught Spanish at her alma mater, Moberly High School for two years. Anna is excited to join Douglass High School in 2023 as Director of Counseling. Her goal as a counselor is to be a support for each and every student at DHS as they work toward their personal, educational, and career goals.
Anna grew up in Moberly and has lived in Columbia ever since attending college at the University of Missouri where she double majored in Psychology and English. She then went on to get her Masters of Education in Counseling at Stephens College. Anna and her husband Clint have twin boys who attend middle school in CPS. Anna and her family enjoy spending time with their rescue dog Rocky and exploring the many beautiful trails in and around Columbia.
