Welcome to my Music at Parkade website! I'm Emily Fuller and I have taught for 10 years at Parkade Elementary School. I graduated from the University of Missouri in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education with an emphasis in K-12 Instrumental Music and am currently working on a Masters in Music Education from Central Methodist University.
I got my start in music in my elementary school choir, and I've been hooked ever since! I was the drum major of my high school marching band in St. Louis and was a part of Marching Mizzou all through college (GO TIGERS!). While at Mizzou, I was also in the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Steel Drum Band, World Percussion Ensemble, University Percussion Ensemble, and Choral Union. Being a part of musical ensembles has allowed me the opportunity to perform in many places all over the world-from some of the country's biggest football stadiums, to Hawaii, and even to China.
I have completed all three levels of Orff-Schulwerk training at UMSL. The Orff method of music education uses creative movement, singing, dancing, and instruments. I can't wait to share all of my learning with my Parkade students this school year!
At home, I live with my wonderful husband (who teaches industrial technology), our seven-year-old daughter, and our yorkie. I have four nieces and a two nephews, two little sisters, and family all over the country.
