Summer School Attendance Information

    2021 Columbia Summer SUNsation 

    Rising K - 5 Summer SUNsation Program:

    The summer school attendance site is determined by pickup and drop-off location of the student based on the 2021-2022 attendance boundaries.  The home address determines the attendance area site only if it is the pickup and drop-off location.

    • Students residing in the Benton Elementary attendance area are assigned to attend Grant Elementary School.
    • Students residing in the New Haven Elementary attendance area are assigned to attend Cedar Ridge Elementary School

    • Students residing in the Rock Bridge Elementary attendance area are assigned to attend Beulah Ralph Elementary School.

    • Students residing in the Russell Boulevard Elementary* attendance area are assigned to attend Mill Creek Elementary School
    • Students residing in the Two Mile Prairie Elementary* attendance area are assigned to attend Eliot Battle Elementary School.

    • Students residing in the West Boulevard Elementary* attendance area are assigned to attend Paxton Keeley Elementary School.

     

    Rising 6 - 8 Summer SUNsation Program:

    The summer school attendance site is determined by pickup and drop-off location of the student based on the 2021-2022 attendance boundaries.  The home address determines the attendance area site only if it is the pickup and drop-off location.

    • Students residing in the Lange Middle School* attendance area are assigned to attend Oakland Middle School.
    • Students residing in the Smithton Middle School* attendance area are assigned to attend West Middle School.

     
    *These schools will follow the same start time of the school where they are sharing space. 
     
    Elementary ELL students will attend school in their cluster school.  These are the same schools as during the regular school year.

    Rising 9 - 12 Secondary Summer Program:

    All students attending Battle High School, Hickman High School or Rock Bridge High School for school year 2021-2022 enroll in their respective school for summer courses. 

    Ninth grade students advancing to tenth grade must enroll in the high school as determined by the address of his/her home residence.

    Current eighth grade students advancing to ninth grade and Douglass High School students must enroll in the high school as determined by the address of his/her home residence based on the 2021-2022 attendance boundaries.

    • Secondary Summer School students entering grades 9th through 12th grade living two miles or more from their assigned school site are eligible for bus transportation.

    • MSHSAA activity/sports participants must attend summer school in the building of residence and must have athletic director signature on summer school enrollment form.
