    Work experience:

    In 2002, I began my career as a Special Education teaching assistant at Elm Place Middle School in Highland Park, IL.  The following year, I began my teaching career as a Bilingual Self-Contained teacher at Northwood Junior High School in Highland Park, IL. During my tenure, I assisted in the development of the Estudiante to Student Mentor Program and Future Giants Program, both programs that enriched the lives of Latino students.  From 2008 to 2013, I served as the Director of the NSSD112 Summer School Program that served K-8 students in the District.  In 2010 I was appointed as the assistant principal of Oak Terrace Elementary School in Highland Park, IL.  In 2013, I was named principal of South School in Des Plaines, IL.  I then relocated to St. Louis where I was named the principal of Buder Elementary School in St. Louis Public Schools.  To be closer to extended family, my family and I relocated to Columbia, MO.  I was named principal of Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School.  In 2018, I was named the Director of Certificated and Salaried Personnel in the Human Resources Department.

    Family and interests:

    My husband, Michael a retired CFD fireman, are blessed with three daughters, Brenna (14), Sofia (7), and Emilia (4). We enjoy spending time swimming and boating at the lake and visiting family in Chicago and Arizona.  I enjoy spending time with my girls, working out with my gym family and traveling to Mexico.
