Use of School Buildings

  • All individuals requesting to use Columbia Public School District buildings for non-school-district-sponsored events must complete an Application and Permit for Use of School Buildings Form.
    To find out the cost of reserving a room, an application must be completed and submitted to the Director of Athletics' office. The Director of Athletics will then determine the rental/supervision fees, if applicable.
    The Application and Permit of School Buildings Form is available at any school location, at the Director of Athletics' office, or on this Web site. The Director of Athletics' office will send the completed application to the requested school for approval. The school is responsible for arranging any supervision required or requests for use of equipment (see Building Use (procedure 701)).
    After receipt of the approvals from the school and the Director of Athletics, a copy of the approved permit will be mailed to the applicant and the school. If the application is denied, an unapproved copy of the application will be mailed to the applicant.
    The Director of Athletics' office will invoice the applicant for any rental/supervision fees. All fees must be made payable to Columbia Public Schools and sent to Columbia Public Schools, Director of Athletics, 1818 West Worley Street, Columbia, MO, 65203. Prepayment of rental/supervision fees may be required.
