About Ms. Cottrell: I started out in Tulsa, Oklahoma a long time ago. I have 4 daughters, 7 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and many friends spread throughout this world. I have had the good fortune to do many things, some of which include: raising my children on a farm in Illinois; teaching in California, Arizona, Illinois, and Missouri; remodel/construction work in various states; teaching on the Navajo Indian Reservation; being a nanny in different states; candle carving in Silver Dollar City; gaining my Education BA in Illinois and MA in Reading, Writing, and Culture at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona; serving on a school board in Illinois; and living in Frankfort, Germany. I love visiting with my daughters, doing various types of art, reading, sewing, traveling, and watching movies. I became a teacher because I like helping students learn what they need to know.
