• Hello Grant All Star students and families!Dr. Jen Wingert

On behalf of the teachers and staff here at Grant, I want to welcome you to our wonderful community and introduce myself.  My name is Jen Wingert and I am the principal at Grant.  It is my complete privilege to serve Grant School in the capacity of principal as well as serve as a support for our talented and dedicated staff.  This is my 17th year in education and 15th year in the Columbia Public School district.  I began my CPS career at Grant, teaching 5th grade, first grade and working as an administrator.  After leaving for a year to work as an assistant principal within the district, the opportunity to return to Grant as the principal presented itself and I returned “home.”

Grant School is one of a kind.  Our staff are innovated thinkers who seek collaboration and implement project-based learning.  The Grant School community is diverse in population, values higher-level learning opportunities, focuses on the importance of Fine Arts, and provides various family/school events throughout the year.  We are a neighborhood school with under 400 students, allowing the small-school feeling to radiate our hallways!

Again, welcome to Grant!  I encourage you to become involved in our "community of learners" as strong partnerships between school and families help maximize students’ learning experiences.

    Sincerely,

    Dr. Jen Wingert
