Board Vacancy

On Monday, July 13, 2026, the Board of Education accepted the resignation of Board Member Jeanne Snodgrass. The resignation creates a vacancy on the Board of Education through the expiration of Ms. Snodgrass' term on April 6, 2027. 

In accordance with Board of Education Policy BBE-2, the Board will appoint a new member to complete the unexpired term. Qualified persons interested in the position may apply to be appointed through an application process. Applications will be available, and submissions accepted beginning July 27, 2026 at 8 a.m. The application submission window will close August 14, 2026 at 4 p.m.    Applicants may submit the completed application packet electronically by emailing Board of Education Secretary Noël McDonald at nmcdonald@cpsk12.org.

Application packets may also be obtained and submitted in person from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by appointment only at the Aslin Administration Building, 1818 W. Worley Street, beginning July 27. Please note that the Board of Education is a public governing body; as such, applicant information will be made public as part of the selection process, and applicant selection will be conducted in open meetings of the Board.
