RBHS 2020-21 Student Parking Application

 RBHS 2020-21 Student Parking Application
Any vehicle a student parks at RBHS/CACC must be registered. At this time, RBHS will not be collecting payments online or in person for parking passes. If you plan to purchase a parking pass in the future, please submit the following information and required documentation.

Please notify the Activity Secretary with vehicle changes.

Licensed students of any grade may submit an application for parking. The application must be returned with vehicle description, license tag number, current insurance policy information and student’s driver’s license number. A parent signature is required below.

A parking tag must be properly displayed, hanging from the rear view mirror with the individual tag number visible any time the vehicle is on school property. The tag is registered to one person and cannot be given to another student. The hang tag must not be altered in any way or it will become void and must be replaced at cost to student.

Student parking is not allowed in faculty or visitor parking. Parking is not allowed in fire lanes, against red curbs, in driving lanes, on grassed areas or other non-parking spaces or ADA accessible parking spaces without the proper state permit.

Failure to register and/or properly display a valid parking hang tag may result in a RBHS warning sticker applied to vehicle, a Columbia Municipal ticket, towing of vehicle or additional disciplinary consequences.

Student parking is on a first come – first served basis. There are approximately 50 student spots in the South lot, 350 in the lot directly North of the building and 300 spots East/North of the baseball field.

Parking is a privilege that may be revoked or suspended without refund. Excessive tardiness, absences or disciplinary referrals may be grounds for revocation of parking. Students are not allowed to loiter in the parking lots and should exit and lock their vehicle upon arrival at school. Operating a vehicle in a reckless manner will result in revocation or suspension of parking privilege. 10 mph should be considered the safe maximum speed in the parking lots.

Vehicle accidents and other parking lot safety concerns are to be reported to the main office and the school resource officer. RBHS is not responsible for vehicle damage that may occur in the parking lot but students are responsible for damages they cause.

Vehicles parked on school district property are subject to search by school officials who are justified by reasonable suspicion. Please review CPS Board policy ECD for more information.
