We are excited to be able to continue funding proposals that support Columbia Public School educators, students, and programs. Applicants may submit only ONE individual proposal and that proposal may be up to $1,000.
The Selection Committee will evaluate the proposals which directly benefit and support student learning and achievement. The criteria is as follows:
- The purpose and objectives of the proposal.
- The specific measurable learning objectives of the proposal and how they will improve student achievement. (Students will be able to…)
- The instructional strategies that you will use to meet the measurable learning objectives.
- How you will evaluate the effectiveness of the proposal.
Full-time, certificated teachers AND Administrators may submit proposals.
- Educators may submit ONE individual proposal. Proposals have a maximum of $1,000.
- Additionally, a Building proposal may be submitted which has a maximum of $2,000. The Building Proposal may be submitted by a full-time teacher or an Administrator.
- ONLY ONE Building Proposal may be submitted per building or program.
- The building principal should carefully monitor who submits the Building Proposal to ensure that a full-time, certificated educator is submitting only one individual proposal AND that only one building proposal is submitted.
The application will be available on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The online process only includes the guidelines page and the cover page. ALMM Proposal cover pages must be SUBMITTED through the online process and then PRINTED and SUBMITTED for consideration.
Application Steps
- Complete the cover page, review, and edit it.
- Submit the online cover page.
- You will be emailed an online receipt and Word document that consist of the budget and proposal pages.
- Complete the Budget and Proposal pages.
- Review and edit all pages.
- PRINT all the pages, including the cover page, on one-sided pages. Print a copy for your records.
- Submit the proposal to your principal for a signature.
- ALL signed application materials must be submitted in one-sided paper copies to the Business Services Office no later than 4:30 on Thursday, September 3. This date and time are FIRM.
Proposal writers should seek approval from the Technology and Curriculum Departments if requesting funding for items that may be new or questionable. Proposals that have not been approved will be removed from consideration. The following is a statement from the Technology Department:
Applications for computers/laptops/tablets or standard printers will NOT be funded due to the CPS device refresh cycle.
Please remember, THE DEADLINE IS FIRM. Submit your applications by 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
