Standard Substitutes
- Fill needs across the district when available.
- Choose assignments by building, grade, subject, or time.
- Select part-day, half-day, or full-day work.
- Work any day school is in session (up to five days each week).
- Work at least one day each semester to remain active.

Daily Substitute Roles Include:
- Teacher: Serve as the classroom lead and manage instructional activities.
- Classroom Aide: Support classroom teachers and assist with lunchroom or recess supervision.
- Instructional Aide:
- Media IA: Teach media lessons.
- Pre-K IA: Co-teach alongside the classroom teacher.
- IA: May also support in-school suspension (ISS).
- Paraprofessional: Support students receiving special education services (will not be left alone in charge of a class).
- Building Safety and Security Aide: Assist with the weapons detection system and supervision duties (lunchroom, hallways, classrooms).
- Clerical*: Provide administrative support as receptionists, attendance secretaries, principal secretaries, or media clerks.
- Monitor*: Support supervision duties as a playground or lunchroom monitor.
*No certification is required for clerical and monitor roles.
