NUTRITION SERVICES BLACKOUT DAYS

• August 12 – First Day Back
• August 19 thru August 29 – First Two Weeks of School
• May 8 thru May 21 – Last Two Weeks of School
• Before and after Holidays

DISTRICT BLACKOUT DAYS

Blackout dates are dates that have historically experienced high absenteeism. The following are blackout dates for the 2025‐26 school year. If you wish to use personal time for any of these dates, you must submit an Absence Request form in TalentEd Records and approved by your supervisor and Human Resources.

• September 26 ‐ Mizzou Homecoming
• December 19 ‐ Day before Winter Break
• February 4 ‐ Fine Arts Extravaganza
• February 9 ‐ Day after the Super Bowl
• March 20 ‐ Day before Spring Break
• March 30 ‐ Day after Spring Break

*Per policy, GDBDA requests for personal leave are subject to prior approval by the immediate supervisor. Personal leave at the start or close of school, or more than one day in conjunction with a holiday, must receive prior approval by the Chief Human Resource Officer or a designee due to extenuating circumstances.
