• 8/20 thru 8/23 – First week of school

• 5/12 thru 5/23 – Last two weeks of school

DISTRICT BLACKOUT DAYS

Blackout dates are dates that have historically experienced high absenteeism.

The following are blackout dates for the 2024‐25 school year. If you wish to use personal time for any of these dates, you must submit an Absence Request form in TalentEd Records and approved by your supervisor and Human Resources.

• 10/2, 10/3, and 10/4 - District Professional Development

• 10/18 ‐ Mizzou Homecoming

• 12/20 ‐ Day before Winter Break

• 1/6 ‐ Day students return from Winter Break

• 2/10 ‐ Monday after the Super Bowl

• 2/12 ‐ Fine Arts Extravaganza

• 3/3 ‐ Day after True False Film Festival

• 3/21 ‐ Day before Spring Break

• 3/31 ‐ Day after Spring Break

*Per policy GDBDA requests for personal leave are subject to prior approval by the immediate supervisor. Personal leave at the start or close of school, or more than one day in conjunction with a holiday, must receive prior approval by the Chief Human Resource Officer or a designee due to extenuating circumstances.
