MAC Scholars

Among several student-related programs and activities, the Multicultural Achievement Department is responsible for the operation and implementation of the MAC Scholars Program. 

MAC

The Multicultural Achievement Committee (MAC) program is a holistic, collaborative, educational support function of Columbia Public Schools.  The MAC program is designed to provide scholars with the necessary skills and support to achieve success academically, emotionally, and socially. The program operates at the high school and middle school levels. A mini-MAC program operates at the elementary level.

Our Purpose

The MAC program aims to increase the number of historically under-represented scholars in Columbia Public Schools’ taking rigorous courses, honors, and advanced placement courses.  The program aims to ensure college and career readiness for scholars.
