You will use your District Issued Guardian ID and the password you were emailed unless you've logged in previously and changed the password to one of your choosing.
Follow the steps below to access the CPS Families Portal using the Google Chrome web browser.
Open the Google Chrome web browser.
Type cpsk12.org in the address bar.
Select the CPS Families Portal link.
Enter your Guardian ID for the username.
Enter your full email address for the password, all lower case, then select Sign In.
Your default password is your full email address that is on file at your child's school.
The first time you log in, select Set Up Recovery.
Select Email, enter your email address, and select Save.
Check your email inbox and select the link to enable your recovery email address.
Select Questions and create three security questions with answers, then select Save.
Close the menu by selecting the X in the upper right corner.
If prompted, install the ClassLink One-Click Extension.
Select Install Extension, then Add to Chrome, then Add Extension.
If prompted, it is not necessary to turn on Google Sync.

Follow the steps below to access the CPS Families Portal using the Microsoft Edge web browser.

Yes, the ClassLink Extension is required and is completely safe. It's only active when using the Families Portal and helps manage your various logins automatically.
Yes, but each user should fully log out before another member attempts to access their Portal. Alternatively, each member can use a different browser type.
District-issued Guardian IDs provide maximum security and ensure each guardian has a unique identifier. This is more secure than using easily identifiable information like names or email addresses.
