Student Access to Microsoft 365 Resources
Columbia Public Schools (CPS) uses Microsoft 365 Education. Microsoft 365 Education is a set of resources provided by Microsoft and used by tens of millions of students and teachers around the world. At CPS, students are assigned an “A1” license. Students use their Microsoft 365 Education accounts to complete assignments, communicate with teachers, and learn digital citizenship skills.
This notice describes the resources your student may use while enrolled with Columbia Public Schools.
The following are Core Services included with the Microsoft 365 Education A1 license, as described in the Microsoft 365 Education Plan Comparison Table:
Teams, Word (Online Only), PowerPoint (Online Only), Excel (Online Only), OneNote (Online Only), Forms (Online Only), Outlook (Online Only), Translator.
Students may also have access to certain Additional Services through their Microsoft 365 Education accounts:
Minecraft.
CPS may also allow students to access third-party services using their Microsoft 365 accounts. School administrators enable access to these services and authorize the disclosure of data when required by the third-party provider.
