Welcome to Josephus Johnson's page!
My name is Josephus Johnson and I currently have the privilege to teach Jeff MIddle School in Columbia. I grew up in a tiny town in Southern Missouri and moved to Columiba to go to MU in 1999 and have never left. I received a Bachelor degree in 2003 and Masters degree in 2004 both from MU. I was a math teacher at West Junior High for 10 years and Battle High School for 5 years before transitioning to gifted education in 2018. My family includes my wife Danielle and three daughters Avery, Tessa, and Maggie and a great dane named Severus. I enjoy cooking, traveling, home improvement, and all things science.
I am passionate about helping my students pursue their interests in all the crazy areas that interest students such as science, reading, technology, animals, sports, etc. It is a privilege to work with middle school students while they work through this crazy phase of life while they grow into themselves.
