Shari Lawson, PrincipalI love being the principal at Ridgeway Elementary! After teaching for 22 years (two years in the St. Louis area and the rest at Ridgeway in Unit B and Unit C), this is my ninth year as principal. I love to read and cook, but learning is what I really enjoy. I am studying Educational Leadership at Saint Louis University, and I am almost halfway through the program. At Ridgeway, I want all of us (kids and adults) to continue learning and growing. I am proud to be a wife and mom. My husband, Ewell, and I have two children. Our son, Joe, is an engineer for Caterpillar. Our daughter, Katie, is studying kinesiology at the University of Michigan.
Mitchell Pittman, Assistant Administrator
Hello! This is my 7th year in education and first year in administration. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (2015) from Missouri Valley College, a Master’s degree (2018) in K-12 Building Leadership, and an Education Specialist’s degree (2020) in Educational Leadership – Superintendent. Prior to coming to Ridgeway, I taught 9-12 Physical Education and Health at Rock Bridge High School. I’ve also spent the last six years coaching Varsity football, specifically working with Quarterbacks and Special Teams units. I have been married to my wife Taylor for 5 years and have two very active children, Coby and Ty! While I will always be a teacher at heart, I’m so excited for the opportunity to serve Ridgeway Elementary School!
