• Mrs. Colette Vranicar  
    Welcome to Team Vranicar!
    This is Mrs. Vranicar’s 21st year as a teacher, and her 4th year teaching at Alpha Hart.  She previously taught 6th grade in the Reading School District in Pennsylvania, 5th and 7th grade at St. Margaret School in Reading, Pennsylvania, and preschool. Mrs. Vranicar earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Communication Design from Kutztown University, and Teacher Certification in Elementary Education from Alvernia University in Pennsylvania. 
    Prior to teaching, Mrs. Vranicar worked as a graphic designer for Rodale Press Publications where she created illustrations and designed page layout for Bicycling Magazine, Runners’ World, Prevention Magazine, Backpacker, and Organic Gardening Magazine.  She also did freelance artwork for Binney and Smith, the company that manufactures Crayola products.  As a professional artist, Mrs. Vranicar also collaborated with a group of artists on a project that was displayed in the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. She also volunteered as a Girl Scout troop leader for 11 years, and worked as a camp program director.

    Mrs. Vranicar moved to Missouri 3 years ago.  She has 3 grown children who all live and work in Pennsylvania.  Her daughter, Ashley, is a middle school science teacher who also coaches volleyball and track. Her son, Ryan, is a counselor at a treatment facility for children who have experienced severe trauma. Her son, Nathan, is a senior at Kutztown University majoring in history.  He plans to become a state park ranger or teach at a university. Mrs. Vranicar enjoys jogging, hiking, camping, exercising, and reading in her spare time.
