Candy Fowler is the principal of Russell Elementary. Her passion for education and supporting the success of students has led her down the path of teaching both lower and upper elementary grades, as well as, literacy coach and assistant principal for Columbia Public Schools. She has been an adjunct instructor for both the University of Missouri and William Woods University for years in the education departments. Mrs. Fowler's goal is to welcome Russell families and make it a priority to ensure each student has a great educational experience. As a former Hickman Kewpie and Mizzou Tiger, she loves Columbia and CPS schools! She pursued her education and received an Educational Specialist degree in Administration. However, being a Russell Raven tops the list of her accomplishments! Mrs. Fowler looks forward to meeting each one of your children and making them feel welcome each day!
Kim Uffmann is the Assistant Principal of Russell Elementary. She has always had a passion for educating others, no matter what age, helping students achieve their goals and experience growth. This passion led her to Mizzou, where she received her Bachelors and Masters degrees, and eventually her Specialist degree in Administration. Her goal is to help cultivate a positive and welcoming learning community where every child can receive a meaningful education. After ten years of teaching multiple grade levels at Russell, she excited to continue her path as a leader with the Russell community. Go Ravens!

The secretary to the principal is Mary Lamberson. She has been associated with Russell since 1984 when her own children attended our school. Ms. Lamberson had a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska, however, she is now a confirmed Tiger. She has been at Russell for almost 30 years in a variety of roles but is all around a Russell Raven.
