Greetings, and welcome to my webpage! My name is Jordan Showalter, and I am elated to be joining an already outstanding math department at Rock Bridge High School. In addition to sharing important links and other relevant information pertaining to the courses I teach, allow me to tell you a little bit about myself!
I hail from a small town in rural northwest Missouri called Craig where I spent my entire childhood. After graduating high school, I attended the University of Missouri to pursue a degree in Math Education. I graduated from Mizzou after five brief years and shortly thereafter decided that I wasn't quite ready for my time in Columbia to come to an end. When Rock Bridge came calling, the decision was a no-brainer, and I'm thrilled to be a part of this community.
I am a sports fanatic and a die-hard Mizzou, Chiefs, and Royals fan. I have long contended that two of my deepest passions are football and basketball, and if there's a gym nearby, you can find me shooting hoops in it. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar and practicing the drums. I love to be on the lake in the summer and on a mountain in the winter, and to this day I can't decide if I like wakeboarding or snowboarding more.
I am excited not only to help students learn, but to also learn from my students. Education is at its best when it occurs as a team effort, and I look forward to being a part of the process. If you have any questions throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to contact me. My email address is listed below.
