I am excited to be a part of the opening staff at John Warner Middle School! I’ve taught at both the elementary and middle school levels before leaving the classroom to have my children and be a homeschool mom. After 12 years at home, I decided to return to the classroom, first as a student to pursue my passion for literacy, then as a teacher at the elementary level. I finished my Master’s degree in Literacy with a Reading Specialist Emphasis in 2016. My educational passion is to help struggling readers realize their full potential by building their reading skills and confidence.

In the summer of 2018, my family and I moved to Sturgeon, Missouri from northeast Indiana. Along with my husband of 26 years, our four children, and a labradoodle, we love to hike and explore Missouri’s great state parks. At home, when I get time to chill, I love to go on great adventures and meet amazing people through the wonder of reading. I am excited to help hesitant or struggling readers fall in love or grow in their love of books—and the sense of accomplishment that comes from overcoming challenging subjects. Whether you are in one of my classes or not, I am here for you! Let me know how I can help!
