About the New School

Columbia Public Schools’ newest elementary school render

Columbia Public Schools’ newest elementary school will be located in southwest Columbia next to John Warner Middle School on Sinclair Road. The school is part of the district’s long-range facilities and bond plan. It was approved by voters in two bond issue elections.  One in 2018 to purchase land as part of the planning for John Warner Middle School and one in 2022 to construct the school.  The district broke ground on the new school in August 2024 and it is slated to open in fall of 2026.
