Here you will find forms and info for a more informed start to our 2020-21 school year. This info is also on the JMS Cyclone Summer mailing which can be found under the FAMILY RESOURCES tab and Cyclone Watch.
Our long-time partner in education has given to us, now it's time for us to help them. BHS is facing a dire shortage of cloth masks for their healthcare workers. Please see the link with directions here. If you are handy with a sewing machine or you know someone with this talent, please consider helping. The mask info was chosen at the request of healthcare workers. If you have questions, have masks made and want them picked up, please email Erin Elliott for more info.
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year. I am Dr. Greg Caine, Sr., and I would like to welcome you to Jefferson Middle School: A STEAM Academy.
We are so excited to begin another school year. We have an amazing staff, and they are anxious to begin a new learning journey with your student. We have unique and exciting learning opportunities in the area of STEAM education in which all students will participate. We believe through the hands-on learning opportunities created through STEAM education our students will demonstrate critical thinking, project planning and development, and creativity. We are moving our students even further than before in preparation for an ever changing world. We look forward to a great school year. It is a great time to be a Cyclone!

The mascot is the Cyclone.
School Vision: Jefferson Middle School Steam Academy will provide a challenging, caring, and stimulating environment where children will achieve their fullest potential.
School Mission: Developing curious minds into compassionate, connected citizens...one student at a time.
