    Work experience:
I spent time as a classroom teacher in Jefferson City, teaching grades 2 and 3. I then went on to work for Edward Jones in St. Louis, Missouri, as a Senior Training Specialist for investment brokers. Upon returning to mid-Missouri, I accepted a position at Prairie Home R-V as their Reading Coach and Director of a $300,000 Reading First grant that had been awarded to the school. After two years, I accepted a position at the University of Missouri as a Project Director overseeing Reading First grants in multiple Missouri school districts. This work led to wider consulting in the areas of Response to Intervention and curriculum implementation in over 25 schools across the state. One of the schools I consulted with was South Callaway, where I became the principal of the Early Childhood Learning Center in 2012. I remained there until I accepted the principal position at Russell Boulevard Elementary School in 2014.

    Community service and organizations:
National Association of Elementary School Principals
Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals
    Kappa Alpha Theta Advisory Board

    Family and personal interests:
I am married to Devin Brown, who is a teacher at Hickman High School. We have three very active, inquisitive, boisterous boys. There is never a dull, nor quiet, moment in our  house. We enjoy traveling to new places, spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks with Gigi and Papa, and just being together at home as a family. I am blessed beyond measure.
