Beginning September 7, 2021, COVID-19 testing will be available to CPS students and staff who are exhibiting symptoms of the illness. The type of test that will be used is most accurate when administered in the first 7 days of symptom onset. Your school nurse will be able to schedule their students and staff directly rather than going through the triage line. COVID-19 test appointments will be available 9am to 1pm, at Hickman High School (East Circle Drive). The CPS triage line at 214-3975 will function as needed. Testing will not be available on days that school is closed for breaks or snow days. The test is performed by nasal swab. After the swab is done the individual will return home and begin isolating until they receive their test results from a CPS nurse. The nurse will provide guidance on what actions should be taken based on the test results.
