The Audrey Walton Youth Leadership Program: (FREE) Provides opportunities for Missouri youth (high school juniors & seniors) to gain skills that will assist them in becoming leaders in their communities and schools. CYCLE (Cooperative Youth Conference and Leadership Experience): CYCLE brings in some of the brightest young leaders from across Missouri. The focus is to show students more about electric cooperatives, teach leadership skills and experience Missouri state government. Missouri Summer Programs:
Anytown Youth Leadership Institute: The Anytown Youth Leadership Institute, a program of The National Conference for Community and Justice of Metropolitan St. Louis (NCCJSTL), is a unique 8-day residential program for high-school-aged youth. For more information, see http://www.nccjstl.org/anytown/
Boone Electric Washington D.C. Youth Tour: 80 Missouri high school juniors join 1,500 students from 44 other states to Washington, D.C., every summer. Students attend a conference sponsored by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The conference includes sessions on youth leadership, discussions on community issues and solutions, and motivational speeches by todays recognized leaders. MITE: Minority Introduction to Engineering (Rolla): High school juniors and seniors that are interested in a career in engineering, math, science, or technology.
