CPS tennis coach inducted into national hall of fame

Rock Bridge High School Tennis Coach Ben Loeb is the newest member of the National High School Tennis Coaches Hall of Fame.  Coach Loeb was honored during a ceremony last week by the National High School Tennis Coaches Association.  Coach Loeb's teams have won over 1,100 dual meets, won 19 state championships, and 41 Final Four appearances (December 2020). He has been a head coach at both Hickman and Rock Bridge high schools during his high school coaching career and has won a state championship at both schools.  He also coached the University of Missouri Women’s Tennis team while in attending graduate school at MU from 1986-1988.  He introduced a sports psychology course to Columbia Public Schools in 2011, which he has taught for the last nine years. Loeb has also written 3 books on tennis and sports psychology and has been an instrumental leader in the tennis community of Columbia, Missouri.
