NASA recently chose Columbia Aeronautics and Space Association’s (CASA) team D-Zero to present their design at the Johnson Space Center in April. D-Zero is one of seven finalists in the “High school students United with NASA to Create Hardware” (HUNCH) program. 

D-Zero is made up of CASA students Max Strode, Gus Lookingbill and Gabe Palmer. They designed a set of magnetic dice and created a prototype, which they presented to Nasa representatives earlier this year. 

Two other CASA teams received honors. NASA chose “Project Vulcan” with members Patrick Ryan, Josh Gephardt and Nate Knarr as a semifinalist and team “Leo” with Alex Basi, Alex Renoe and Logan Allen received an honorable mention.
