CPS Community Relations Department Wins National Awards

The National School Public Relations Association recently recognized the Columbia Public Schools' Community Relations Department with 24 national communication awards. 

Columbia Public Schools and the Community Relations Department received three of this year's Golden Achievement Awards, which recognize outstanding, strategic work in all aspects of school public relations, communications, marketing and engagement. 

The awards are in the categories of Sharing Classroom Activities, District Financial Aid and Budget Transparency, and Expanding Community Outreach. 

In addition to receiving the award, Aurora Meyer, APR, Communication Manager, was invited to present the award-winning entries at the NSPRA National Seminar in July. 

The Community Relations Department also received 21 Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards, which recognize outstanding education publications, e-newsletters, digital media programs, marketing materials, videos, social media, websites and more. 

The awards are in the categories of Annual Report, Internal Newsletter, and External Printed Newsletter and Video (Produced In-House).
