CPS boasts five Missouri 100 Scholars

Five Columbia Public Schools students have been named to Missouri Scholars 100.  The students are recognized as the top high school students in the state as designated by the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals.

Referred to as the “Academic Decathalon,” by the association, students are selected based a rigorous course of study and have maintained the highest academic standards.  Criteria include performance in 10 requirements among which are a score of 29 or higher on the ACT or 1900 or higher on the SAT, GPA, class ranking, attendance, citizenship, and upper-level courses in math, science, English and foreign language.

Honorees are: Adam Lake, Battle High School; Guthrie Stroh and Teresa Tang, Hickman High School; and Kavin Anand and Wendy Yan, Rock Bridge High School.
