Gentry Middle School principal announced

Josh Johnson will be recommended to the Columbia Board of Education to become the principal at Gentry Middle School for the 2020-21 school year. 

Johnson will replace current Principal Fairouz Bishara, who previously announced she has accepted a position in another school district out of state for next school year. 

Johnson is currently an assistant principal at Battle High School.  Prior to his current position, he was the administrative assistant at Gentry Middle School.  He taught at Oakland Junior High School for 16 years.  He has an undergraduate degree in education from the University of Missouri as well as a master’s degree and an education specialist degree in administration from William Woods University.
