Congratulations to Travis Bassford, Jack McCallister, and Landon Owen. These Rock Bridge High School students participated in the 14-week stock market challenge. Travis, Jack, and Landon won the competition the first semester of the 2019-20 school year; Jack McCallister went on to develop another portfolio to participate in the second semester competition and won first place for the State of Missouri again. For this contest, each team invests a hypothetical $100,000 in listed stocks, bonds and mutual funds and learns the value of the capital market as they work together to maximize the return of their portfolios. Each semester had over 1,200 teams participating in the competition sponsored by Missouri Economic Council on Economic Education and SIFMA (Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association). The students competed the Stock Market Game by being enrolled in Susan Lidholm's course.
