September shows at the CPS Planetarium

Introducing young children to the wonders of the night sky is the goal this month at the Columbia Public Schools Planetarium.
On Saturday, September 13, the 2:00 p.m. planetarium show will be Night Sky Wonders, a presentation designed specifically for preschool and kindergarten-aged children and their parents. Night Sky Wonders is a live, interactive show that introduces young children to constellations, planets, stars, and much more in an engaging, entertaining environment.
The 3:00 p.m. show will be Magic Tree House Space Mission, a show best suited for first, second, and third graders and their parents. Based on the books by Mary Pope Osborne, this show takes kids along with Jack and Annie as they use the magic tree house to find answers to six questions about outer space. After the mission is complete, a star tour will follow.
Planetarium shows are free, although donations of $2.00 per person are always welcome. To reserve a seat for a specific show, please visit the planetarium's Web site
