Earth Hour

In partnership with the Columbia Climate Change Coalition, Columbia Public Schools students will be participating in the 7th annual International Earth Hour on Saturday, March 28, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Earth Hour is a worldwide grassroots movement by World Wildlife Federation to unite people to take action for the planet. The initiative encourages the symbolic hour of energy conservation to promote larger conversations on a broad range of environmental issues. Since its inception in 2007, Earth Hour now takes place in more than 7,000 cities and towns in over 162 countries and territories worldwide.
