Hickman student wins at science and engineering fair
Hickman High school student Wenzer Qin excelled at the Regional Intel Science and Engineering Fair in Jefferson City on March 27. She placed first in the category Molecular and Cellular Biology, and second for Best of Fair overall. Her research is entitled "On the Molecular Basis of Cystic Fibrosis; The Criticality of the Position of Phenylalanine 508 in the Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator." She qualifies as a finalist for the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this May, where she will compete against finalists from around the world.
