Four CPS schools raise funds for blood cancer cure
The Columbia Public School District was an instrumental part of the success of this year's School and Youth Campaign, sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The schools involved in the campaign were Lange Middle School, West Middle School, Midway Heights Elementary School, and Parkade Elementary School. These schools were part of a team effort to raise awareness about blood cancers while raising funds for a cure. The funds raised will contribute to financial aid to patients, research for cures and treatments, patient and family education and support groups, and support of children returning to school after treatment.
