CPS planetarium August public shows

The second Saturday in August brings a tree house adventure and serious solar activity to the CPS Planetarium.

At 2:00 p.m., the show is Magic Tree House Space Mission. Based on the Magic Tree House series of books, this show takes kids along with Jack and Annie as they use the tree house to search for answers to questions about outer space. Though designed for a younger audience, this show is great for all ages.

At 3:00 p.m., the show is Sunstruck. A relatively new addition to CPS Planetarium's show library, Sunstruck is all about our sun, the closest star to us and the reason life can survive on our planet. Learn what makes the sun "burn" and how changes in its core affect Earth. This show was written for more mature audiences.

A constellation tour is included in each presentation.

Doors open at 1:45 p.m.
2:00 p.m. - Magic Tree House Space Mission
3:00 p.m. - Sunstruck

Planetarium shows are free, although donations of $2.00 per person are encouraged. To reserve a seat for a specific show, please visit the CPS Planetarium Web site.
