Beulah Ralph Elementary School principal named

The principal for Beulah Ralph Elementary School has been named.

Tim Majerus will be recommended to the Board of Education to fill the role.  Majerus is currently the principal at Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School.

Majerus is in his fourth year as principal of Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School.  Previously, he was the principal at Blue Ridge Elementary School for 11 years.  He was also the principal of Williamsburg Elementary School in the North Callaway School District for four years.  In addition to his experience in administration, he has eight years of classroom teaching experience in various school districts.  He has a doctorate in educational leadership and policy analysis from the University of Missouri.

Over the next few months, the school district will gather information from the Alpha Hart Lewis school-community in regard to what it would like to see in the next principal. In the early spring, the position will be posted and applications accepted. A committee, including parents, will be formed to help interview candidates for the position.

Beulah Ralph Elementary School, located in south Columbia, will open in 2016.  The school was approved by voters in the April 2012 bond election and is currently under construction.
