Need a break from holiday shopping? Why not head to CPS Planetarium and take a break in outer space! This month's free public shows are on Saturday, December 12, at 2:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
The 2:00 p.m. show is Astronaut, which explores conditions that astronauts encounter when they travel into outer space. This show is recommended for ages 7 and up. In addition, just before the constellation tour, a short movie called Losing the Dark will discuss how bright city lights affect not only the night sky, but human health as well.
The 3:15 p.m. show is Hubble Vision (recommended for ages 12 and up). From the planets of our solar system to the far reaches of the universe we live in, this show celebrates some of the many discoveries made by the Hubble Space Telescope.
