CPS Planetarium January public shows (Posted 01/05/16)

A magic tree house adventure and a solar system journey await visitors to the Columbia Public Schools Planetarium this January.

At 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, the planetarium show will be Magic Tree House Space Mission. Based on the popular Magic Tree House series of books, visitors go along with Jack and Annie as they  use the magic tree house to answer a series of questions about outer space. This show is designed for children ages 6-12, but is fun for all ages.

The 3:15 p.m. show is Chronicles of a Journey to Earth (for ages 12 and up). After a brief tour of the solar system, this show focuses on the relationship between the sun, Earth, and moon, explaining moon phases, why we have seasons and eclipses, and more.

A tour of the night sky is included with every show.
