Students from Lange and West middle schools competed in the largest middle school Quiz Bowl competition in the history of Missouri with 30 teams in the field on Saturday, April 29, in Tuscumbia, Missouri. Results:
West Middle School
West Quiz Bowl teams placed first, third, and fourth in the tournament, and there were individual winners as well.Owen Kingtonplaced first, andLuc Cheekplaced second, for most questions answered out of 25 team members in the highly competitive division.Julian Cheek placed fourth,Elizabeth Martinplaced fifth,Gabi De Oliveiraplaced eighth, andJudah Robbins-Bernalplaced ninth in the highly competitive division as well. Lange Quiz Bowl teams placed second out of 24 teams in the tournament.Ethan MageeandWinter Whipple-Murrellwere a mighty force as a team of two against 23 other teams of four. They took second place overall.Winter Whipple-Murrelltook second place for most questions answered out of all individual team members--a total of approximately 100 students.
