Digital event flyer distribution system launches May 19 (posted 5/19/17)

Columbia Public Schools has launched a new electronic flyer communication tool called Peachjar.
 
Beginning May 19, CPS will begin delivering flyers for events and activities electronically to families via email. Electronic delivery of flyers will replace the district's Virtual Backpack and paper event flyers in elementary Friday folders. Event flyers will also be available via the school's website, the district home page, and the district's free mobile app. Academic information will still be sent home in elementary Friday folders. Secondary academic information is available digitally via Home Access and Schoology.
 
This "green" initiative will save our schools tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. On top of that, posting school flyers in this electronic backpack removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers.
