Jefferson teacher earns national recognition (posted 11/7/17)

Jefferson Middle School teacher Misha Fugit has been awarded the Bonnie Campbell Hill National Literacy Award, a grant from the Children's Literature Assembly. The award is given to two outstanding teacher leaders annually and recognizes educators dedicated to improving the teaching and learning of reading and writing in real-world contexts in grades K-8. The grant is intended to be used for professional development opportunities. Fugit will be recognized in November at the National Council of Teachers of English conference in St. Louis.
