Learn about opportunities available at the Columbia Area Career Center (posted 1/2/18)
The Columbia Area Career Center invites area middle school students, high school students, families, businesses, press, media, and community members to discover the wealth of opportunities available for the upcomign 2018-19 school year. This event is a perfect time to talk to instructors, participate in interactive labs, view examples of student work, and see how CACC classes and resources are relevant to a student's future success. The Professional and Community Education office will also have a sampling of adult programming and courses for public view. At 7:00 p.m. a press conference will be held to announce the Allied Science and Technology Partnership between the Moberly Area Career Center, Columbia Public Schools, and the Columbia Area Career Center. The press and media are especially invited to this portion of the night to hear the new and beneficial ways our public institutions will better serve the community and students by streamlining resources and services.
Join CACC for the Career Showcase, Thursday, January 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., located at 4203 South Providence Road in Columbia. The press conference will take place at 7:00 p.m. in Room 173, the main conference room. This event and prizes are sponsored by CACC's Partner In Education, Big O Tires, who will also serve dinner for attendees.
The Columbia Area Career Center is a part of Columbia Public Schools and serves the community by providing the following education programs to a variety of ages including, but not limited to: career and technical education, personal enrichment, literacy advancement, work force development, and summer camps.
