Apply to Volunteer

  • The safety and well-being of our students, staff and volunteers is our number one priority. As we continue to proactively respond to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have temporarily suspended many volunteer activities at Columbia Public Schools.  Parent and community volunteers enhance the educational experience and we value everyone’s time and support.  Volunteer applicants will be contacted once we are able to resume our volunteer activities.   

    Before receiving a volunteer assignment, volunteers must complete three forms: a Volunteer Application, a Volunteer Survey, and a Missouri Request for Child Abuse or Neglect/Highway Patrol Criminal Record Check form.

    Community volunteers do not pay any fees to have background checks processed. All information is strictly confidential.  Upon receipt of your paperwork, please allow 5-10 business days to process.  Once all paperwork has been processed, volunteers and schools will be contacted.
